Association

aDRI Governance

Guarantor of Independence and Deployment of the DRI Standard

The association for Digital Resilience Initiative (aDRI) is the body responsible for carrying, governing, and evolving the Digital Resilience Index (DRI), and for orchestrating its ecosystem.

Established as a non-profit association under French Law 1901, the aDRI's purpose is to own and evolve the DRI standard as an open standard, and to promote digital resilience and autonomy in Europe and beyond.

In the long term, the association aims to evolve toward AISBL status under Belgian law, in order to strengthen its European governance.

An Independent Trusted Third Party

The aDRI acts as a trusted third party, guaranteeing : the methodological robustness of the DRI framework ; its neutrality (no commercial interest can influence it) ; and its widest possible dissemination, in a logic of general interest.

Key Missions of the aDRI

Governing the Standard

The aDRI holds the intellectual property rights of the DRI framework and oversees its evolution (updating criteria, integrating new technologies, accounting for emerging threats).

This work is supported by two independent advisory committees :

  • Methodological Committee : composed of independent experts (academics, researchers, risk and cybersecurity specialists). It guarantees the scientific rigor, objectivity, and continuous updating of the DRI framework.
  • Ecosystem Committee : brings together digital market players (publishers, vendors, startups, IT service companies). It informs strategic directions and ensures the standard remains open to market developments.

Accrediting and Certifying

The association accredits bodies authorized to provide training in the DRI methodology ; and authorizes, by delegation, the actors who can label or certify companies and digital assets according to the DRI standard.

Training and Awareness

The aDRI develops, directly or through project vehicles : training programs (CIOs, risk managers, auditors, consultants, procurement and legal departments) ; innovative educational tools, such as the Digital Autonomy Fresco (Fresque de l'autonomie numérique), to raise awareness of digital dependency challenges.

Animating the Ecosystem

The aDRI nurtures the European and international community of practitioners, experts, and decision-makers in digital resilience : sharing of experience, continuous improvement of the framework, and alignment of practices.

Sustainably Funding the Common Good

The association relies on sustainable funding models : member contributions, royalties from accredited actors and approved third parties. All commercial use of the standard generates royalties that are fully reinvested in the association's social purpose and general interest projects.
